In the field of production and consumption of paint and varnish products, there is currently an active promotion of requirements at the state level for the protection of the environment and human health. In particular, limitation of the use of hazardous substances, including alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO) and the use of solvents classified as volatile organic compounds (VOC). European Union directives 2004/42/EC of 21.04.2004 imposed the restriction on the use of organic solvents in the production of paints and other decorative coatings. The European Community is adopting a new strategy for chemical products, which is reflected in the White Paper.
NO-VOC means:
